Stage Challenge

06/06/2017

This year‟s Stage Challenge performance was about accepting mental illness and raising awareness that we do not know what others are going through. Leaders for this year were Lily, Jordan, Kinsey, Meg, Caitlin, Matthew, Ella and Hannah. We first had our show in the gym called the „Friends & Family show‟ for over 300 guests. A new lighting & audio system was developed by Garry Nott & Event Audio/Lighting - which meant the whole circuit of wiring and lighting was „floating‟ above the floor. Thus not damaging the surface by duct tape or heavy tripod stands. (Thanks Gary, Nathan and Peter B!) The following weekend was the competition called “Break Out” held at Nayland College. We were clearly “people‟s choice” winners. Our final act was to take the show on the road to the primary schools St Paul‟s & St Joseph‟s. As our whole cast and crew totals 66 students we traveled with a smaller team of 20 and a video recording. A big THANK YOU! to all our sponsors: Riden, Club Garin, Stitchcraft, Tasman Crop, Dress Up Box, AR Distributors, Hideaways B&B, Nelson Live Arts, Transfield Services, 4 Walls and a Garden, Clarence River, Harvest, Complete Water Solutions, Tasman Consulting Engineers.
